महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-88, verse-18

ययातिरुवाच ।
अददाद्देवयानाय यावद्वित्तमविन्दत ।
उशीनरस्य पुत्रोऽयं तस्माच्छ्रेष्ठो हि नः शिबिः ॥१८॥
18. yayātiruvāca ,
adadāddevayānāya yāvadvittamavindata ,
uśīnarasya putro'yaṁ tasmācchreṣṭho hi naḥ śibiḥ.
18. yayātiḥ uvāca | adadāt devayānāya yāvat vittam avindata
| uśīnarasya putraḥ ayam tasmāt śreṣṭhaḥ hi naḥ śibiḥ
18. Yayāti said: "He gave to Devayānī whatever wealth he acquired. Therefore, this son of Uśīnara, Śibi, is indeed superior to us."
