महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-88, verse-22

सर्वामिमां पृथिवीं निर्जिगाय प्रस्थे बद्ध्वा ह्यददं ब्राह्मणेभ्यः ।
मेध्यानश्वानेकशफान्सुरूपांस्तदा देवाः पुण्यभाजो भवन्ति ॥२२॥
22. sarvāmimāṁ pṛthivīṁ nirjigāya; prasthe baddhvā hyadadaṁ brāhmaṇebhyaḥ ,
medhyānaśvānekaśaphānsurūpāṁ;stadā devāḥ puṇyabhājo bhavanti.
22. sarvām imām pṛthivīm nirjigāya
prasthe baddhvā hi adadam brāhmaṇebhyaḥ
| medhyān aśvān ekaśaphān surūpān
tadā devāḥ puṇyabhājaḥ bhavanti
22. I conquered this entire earth. Indeed, having secured (the land) with a prāstha (measure), I gave it to Brahmins. (Similarly, I gave) pure, single-hoofed, beautiful horses. Then, the gods became partakers of merit.
