महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-75, verse-8

शुक्र उवाच ।
समुद्रं प्रविशध्वं वा दिशो वा द्रवतासुराः ।
दुहितुर्नाप्रियं सोढुं शक्तोऽहं दयिता हि मे ॥८॥
8. śukra uvāca ,
samudraṁ praviśadhvaṁ vā diśo vā dravatāsurāḥ ,
duhiturnāpriyaṁ soḍhuṁ śakto'haṁ dayitā hi me.
8. śukraḥ uvāca samudram praviśadhvam vā diśaḥ vā dravata
asurāḥ duhituḥ na apriyam soḍhum śaktaḥ aham dayitā hi me
8. Śukra said, "O Asuras, either enter the ocean or flee in all directions! I cannot endure my beloved daughter's displeasure, for she is dear to me."
