महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-63, verse-22

क्षुत्पिपासापरीताश्च श्रान्ताश्च पतिता भुवि ।
केचित्तत्र नरव्याघ्रैरभक्ष्यन्त बुभुक्षितैः ॥२२॥
22. kṣutpipāsāparītāśca śrāntāśca patitā bhuvi ,
kecittatra naravyāghrairabhakṣyanta bubhukṣitaiḥ.

kecit tatra naravyāghraiḥ abhakṣyanta bubhukṣitaiḥ
22. Afflicted by hunger and thirst, and weary, having fallen to the ground, some (of the animals) there were devoured by hungry, fierce hunters.
