महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-32, verse-9

अभ्यसूयन्ति सततं परस्परममित्रवत् ।
ततोऽहं तप आतिष्ठे नैतान्पश्येयमित्युत ॥९॥
9. abhyasūyanti satataṁ parasparamamitravat ,
tato'haṁ tapa ātiṣṭhe naitānpaśyeyamityuta.
9. abhyasūyanti satatam parasparam amitravat tataḥ
aham tapaḥ ātiṣṭhe na etān paśyeyam iti uta
9. They constantly envy each other like enemies. Therefore, I undertake penance so that I may not see them.
