महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-32, verse-24

सूत उवाच ।
अधो भूमेर्वसत्येवं नागोऽनन्तः प्रतापवान् ।
धारयन्वसुधामेकः शासनाद्ब्रह्मणो विभुः ॥२४॥
24. sūta uvāca ,
adho bhūmervasatyevaṁ nāgo'nantaḥ pratāpavān ,
dhārayanvasudhāmekaḥ śāsanādbrahmaṇo vibhuḥ.
24. sūtaḥ uvāca | adhaḥ bhūmeḥ vasati evam nāgaḥ anantaḥ
pratāpavān | dhārayan vasudhām ekaḥ śāsanāt brahmaṇaḥ vibhuḥ
24. Suta said: 'Thus, the powerful Ananta Nāga dwells beneath the earth, supporting the earth alone, by the command of Brahma, for he is mighty.'
