महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-169, verse-23

ऊचुश्चैनां महाभागां क्षत्रियास्ते विचेतसः ।
ज्योतिःप्रहीणा दुःखार्ताः शान्तार्चिष इवाग्नयः ॥२३॥
23. ūcuścaināṁ mahābhāgāṁ kṣatriyāste vicetasaḥ ,
jyotiḥprahīṇā duḥkhārtāḥ śāntārciṣa ivāgnayaḥ.
23. ūcuḥ ca enām mahābhāgām kṣatriyāḥ te vicetasaḥ
jyotiḥprahīṇāḥ duḥkhārtāḥ śāntārciṣaḥ iva agnayaḥ
23. And those kṣatriyas, bewildered in mind, deprived of sight, and afflicted by sorrow, addressed that highly blessed lady. They were like fires whose flames had been extinguished.
