कृतवीर्य इति ख्यातो बभूव नृपतिः क्षितौ ।
याज्यो वेदविदां लोके भृगूणां पार्थिवर्षभः ॥११॥

11. vasiṣṭha uvāca ,
kṛtavīrya iti khyāto babhūva nṛpatiḥ kṣitau ,
yājyo vedavidāṁ loke bhṛgūṇāṁ pārthivarṣabhaḥ.

Vasiṣṭha said: 'There once lived on earth a king named Kṛtavīrya, who was renowned as the foremost among rulers and was worthy of performing sacrifices, especially by the knowers of the Vedas among the Bhṛgu clan.'
