गन्धर्व उवाच ।
तमापतन्तं संप्रेक्ष्य वसिष्ठो भगवानृषिः ।
वारयामास तेजस्वी हुंकरेणैव भारत ॥३॥

tamāpatantaṁ saṁprekṣya vasiṣṭho bhagavānṛṣiḥ ,
vārayāmāsa tejasvī huṁkareṇaiva bhārata.

3. The Gandharva said: "O descendant of Bharata (bhārata), the revered sage (ṛṣi) Vasiṣṭha, full of spiritual power, seeing him approaching, restrained him simply with a scornful roar (huṃkāra)."
