महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-168, verse-1

वसिष्ठ उवाच ।
मा भैः पुत्रि न भेतव्यं रक्षसस्ते कथंचन ।
नैतद्रक्षो भयं यस्मात्पश्यसि त्वमुपस्थितम् ॥१॥
1. vasiṣṭha uvāca ,
mā bhaiḥ putri na bhetavyaṁ rakṣasaste kathaṁcana ,
naitadrakṣo bhayaṁ yasmātpaśyasi tvamupasthitam.
1. vasiṣṭhaḥ uvāca mā bhaiḥ putri na bhetavyam rakṣasaḥ te
kathañcana na etat rakṣaḥ bhayam yasmāt paśyasi tvam upasthitam
1. Vasiṣṭha said: "Do not be afraid, my daughter. You need not fear the demon (rakṣas) at all, because what you see approaching is neither a demon nor truly a cause for fear."
