सर्गस्त्वयमजातत्वादज्ञज्ञातो न विद्यते ।
न जातः कारणाभावात्पूर्वमेव खवृक्षवत् ॥ ९ ॥

This creation (sarga), however, does not truly exist because it is unborn, and it is known only to the ignorant. It was never born from the very beginning, due to the absence of any cause, just like a sky-tree (khavṛkṣa).
