कारणेन विना कार्य न च नामोपपद्यते ।
कदा क इव खे केन दृष्टो लब्धः स्फुटो द्रुमः ॥ १३ ॥

kadā ka iva khe kena dṛṣṭo labdhaḥ sphuṭo drumaḥ 13

13. Indeed, an effect (kārya) is not produced without a cause. When, by whom, and how could a clear, manifest tree ever be seen or obtained in the sky?
