योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-38, verse-20

एवं हि नियतिर्देवी निश्चिता पारमेश्वरी ।
प्रह्लादेन यथाकल्पं स्थातव्यमिह देहिना ॥ २० ॥
evaṃ hi niyatirdevī niścitā pārameśvarī ,
prahlādena yathākalpaṃ sthātavyamiha dehinā 20
20. evam hi niyatiḥ devī niścitā pārameśvarī
prahlādena yathākalpam sthātavyam iha dehinā
20. evam hi devī pārameśvarī niścitā niyatiḥ
prahlādena dehinā iha yathākalpam sthātavyam
20. Indeed, this is the certain and divine destiny (niyati), ordained by the Supreme Lord: that Prahlāda, the embodied being, must remain here until the end of the cosmic age (kalpa).
