अथ तां मनसा ध्यायंस्तत्रैवामीलितेक्षणः ।
आरब्धवान्मनोराज्यमिदमेकः किलोशना ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Then, Uśanā, alone, with his eyes closed right there, contemplating her (his wife) in his mind, truly began to construct this mental kingdom (manorājya).
