यथेदृशं स्थितं विश्वं विश्वातीते चिदात्मनि ।
तन्मे कथय हे ब्रह्मन् पुनर्बोधविवृद्धये ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Rāma said: "O Brahman, please explain to me how this universe is situated in the conscious self (cidātman), which transcends the universe, so that my understanding (bodha) may further increase."
