छायासूची तापसूची यश्चात्मा स तृतीयया ।
त्रिकोणं तपसा पूतं वाराणस्या समं कृतम् ॥ २६ ॥

26. The shadow-needle, the heat-needle, and that which is the (ātman) (essence) itself as the third (component) — this triangle, purified by arduous effort (tapas), has been rendered equivalent to Varanasi.
