वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-2, verse-7

तपस्तेपे स धर्मात्मा स्वाध्यायनियतेन्द्रियः ।
गत्वाश्रमपदं तस्य विघ्नं कुर्वन्ति कन्यकाः ॥७॥
7. tapastepe sa dharmātmā svādhyāyaniyatendriyaḥ ,
gatvāśramapadaṃ tasya vighnaṃ kurvanti kanyakāḥ.

gatvā āśramapadam tasya vighnam kurvanti kanyakāḥ

7. That righteous one (dharmātmā), with his senses controlled by Vedic study (svādhyāya), performed austerities (tapas). Maidens, having gone to his hermitage (āśrama), created disturbances.
