वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-98, verse-19

ब्रुवाणो ऽपि हितं वाक्यमिष्टो भ्राता विभीषणः ।
धृष्टं परुषितो मोहात्त्वयात्मवधकाङ्क्षिणा ॥१९॥
19. bruvāṇo'pi hitaṃ vākyamiṣṭo bhrātā vibhīṣaṇaḥ ,
dhṛṣṭaṃ paruṣito mohāttvayātmavadhakāṅkṣiṇā.
19. bruvāṇaḥ api hitam vākyam iṣṭaḥ bhrātā vibhīṣaṇaḥ
dhṛṣṭam paruṣitaḥ mohāt tvayā ātmavadhakāṅkṣiṇā

19. Even though your beloved brother Vibhīṣaṇa was speaking beneficial words, he was impudently insulted by you, who, out of delusion, desired the destruction of your own self (ātman).
