वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-20, verse-12

निःश्रेयसपरा मोहात्त्वया चाहं विगर्हिता ।
यैषाब्रुवं हितं वाक्यं वानरेन्द्रहितैषिणी ॥१२॥
12. niḥśreyasaparā mohāttvayā cāhaṃ vigarhitā ,
yaiṣābruvaṃ hitaṃ vākyaṃ vānarendrahitaiṣiṇī.
12. niḥśreyasaparā mohāt tvayā ca aham vigarhitā yā
eṣā abruvam hitam vākyam vānarendrahitaiṣiṇī
12. aham yā eṣā niḥśreyasaparā vānarendrahitaiṣiṇī,
(sā aham) hitam vākyam abruvam,
(tathāpi) mohāt tvayā ca vigarhitā
12. And I, who was devoted to the highest good and was a well-wisher for the king of monkeys, was scorned by you out of delusion when I spoke this beneficial word.
