वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-28, verse-28

सा विशीर्णा शरैर्भिन्ना पपात धरणीतले ।
गदामन्त्रौषधिबलैर्व्यालीव विनिपातिता ॥२८॥
28. sā viśīrṇā śarairbhinnā papāta dharaṇītale ,
gadāmantrauṣadhibalairvyālīva vinipātitā.

28. sā śaraiḥ viśīrṇā bhinnā dharaṇītale papāta,

28. That mace, shattered and split by the arrows, fell to the ground. It was struck down like a poisonous female serpent (vyālī) [that is subdued] by the power of maces, mantras, and potent herbs.
