वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-28, verse-23

कामं बह्वपि वक्तव्यं त्वयि वक्ष्यामि न त्वहम् ।
अस्तं गच्छेद्धि सविता युद्धविघ्रस्ततो भवेत् ॥२३॥
23. kāmaṃ bahvapi vaktavyaṃ tvayi vakṣyāmi na tvaham ,
astaṃ gaccheddhi savitā yuddhavighrastato bhavet.
23. kāmam bahu api vaktavyam tvayi vakṣyāmi na tu aham
astam gacchet hi savitā yuddhavighnaḥ tataḥ bhavet
23. kāmam bahu api vaktavyam (asti),
tu aham tvayi na vakṣyāmi.
hi savitā astam gacchet,
tataḥ yuddhavighnaḥ bhavet.
23. Although there is much that I could say to you, I will not speak (it). The sun may set, and that would cause an interruption of the battle.
