वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-28, verse-25

इत्युक्त्वा परमक्रुद्धस्तां गदां परमाङ्गदाम् ।
खरश्चिक्षेप रामाय प्रदीप्तामशनिं यथा ॥२५॥
25. ityuktvā paramakruddhastāṃ gadāṃ paramāṅgadām ,
kharaścikṣepa rāmāya pradīptāmaśaniṃ yathā.

kharaḥ cikṣepa rāmāya pradīptām aśanim yathā

25. Having spoken thus, Khara, utterly enraged, hurled that magnificent mace towards Rāma, just as one would hurl a blazing thunderbolt.
