वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-97, verse-24

यदब्रवीन्मां नरलोकसत्कृतः पिता महात्मा विबुधाधिपोपमः ।
तदेव मन्ये परमात्मनो हितं न सर्वलोकेश्वरभावमव्ययम् ॥२४॥
24. yadabravīnmāṃ naralokasatkṛtaḥ pitā mahātmā vibudhādhipopamaḥ ,
tadeva manye paramātmano hitaṃ na sarvalokeśvarabhāvamavyayam.
24. yat abravīt mām naralokasatkṛtaḥ
pitā mahātmā vibudhādhipopamaḥ
tat eva manye paramātmanaḥ hitam
na sarvalokeśvarabhāvam avyayam
24. What my great-souled father, honored by people and comparable to the lord of gods, said to me—that alone I consider beneficial for the supreme Self (paramātman), and not the imperishable state of being the lord of all worlds.
