वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-36, verse-25

ततस्तु देवताः सर्वाः कार्तिकेय इति ब्रुवन् ।
पुत्रस्त्रैलोक्य विख्यातो भविष्यति न संशयः ॥२५॥
25. tatastu devatāḥ sarvāḥ kārtikeya iti bruvan ,
putrastrailokya vikhyāto bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ.
25. tataḥ tu devatāḥ sarvāḥ kārtikeyaḥ iti bruvan
putraḥ trailokya-vikhyātaḥ bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ
25. tataḥ tu sarvāḥ devatāḥ bruvan: "ayam putraḥ kārtikeyaḥ (nāmnā).
saḥ trailokya-vikhyātaḥ bhaviṣyati,
na saṃśayaḥ.

25. Then, all the gods declared, "This son will be known as Kartikeya, renowned throughout the three worlds; there is no doubt about it."
