मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-5, verse-3

ततः पुत्रं हतं श्रुत्वा त्वष्टा क्रुद्धः प्रजापतिः ।
अवलुञ्च्य जटामेकामिदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥३॥
3. tataḥ putraṃ hataṃ śrutvā tvaṣṭā kruddhaḥ prajāpatiḥ .

avaluñcya jaṭām ekām idam vacanam abravīt
3. Then, upon hearing that his son had been killed, Tvaṣṭā, the enraged progenitor (prajāpati), tore out a lock of his hair and spoke these words.
