एवं वैश्यो न राजंस्त्वं न च वैश्यः पिता मम ।
न त्वं हि मय्यदुष्टायामदुष्टो दुष्यसे कथम् ॥२३॥

23. evaṃ vaiśyo na rājaṃstvaṃ na ca vaiśyaḥ pitā mama .
na tvaṃ hi mayyaduṣṭāyāmaduṣṭo duṣyase katham.

Thus, O king (rājan), you are not a Vaiśya, nor is my father a Vaiśya. How then can you, being faultless yourself, find fault (duṣyase) in me, who am also faultless?
