अथार्धचन्द्रेण हृतं किरीटिना पपात दण्डस्य शिरः क्षितिं द्विपात् ।

19. Then, struck by the diadem-wearer (Arjuna) with a crescent-shaped arrow, the head of the elephant's trunk fell to the ground. As it fell, shining like blood, it resembled the sun descending into the western sky at sunset.
