महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-13, verse-18

क्षुरप्रकृत्तौ सुभृशं सतोमरौ च्युताङ्गदौ चन्दनरूषितौ भुजौ ।
गजात्पतन्तौ युगपद्विरेजतुर्यथाद्रिशृङ्गात्पतितौ महोरगौ ॥१८॥
18. kṣuraprakṛttau subhṛśaṁ satomarau; cyutāṅgadau candanarūṣitau bhujau ,
gajātpatantau yugapadvirejatu;ryathādriśṛṅgātpatitau mahoragau.

18. His two arms, exceedingly severed by razor-edged arrows (kṣurapra), still holding their javelins (tomaras), with their armlets fallen off, and smeared with sandalwood, fell from the elephant. They appeared simultaneously, just like two great serpents fallen from a mountain peak.
