महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-13, verse-13

अथास्य बाहू द्विपहस्तसंनिभौ शिरश्च पूर्णेन्दुनिभाननं त्रिभिः ।
क्षुरैः प्रचिच्छेद सहैव पाण्डवस्ततो द्विपं बाणशतैः समार्दयत् ॥१३॥

13. Then, the Pāṇḍava (Pāṇḍavaḥ) Arjuna, at once, cut off his opponent's two arms (bāhū), which resembled elephant trunks (dvipahastasaṃnibhau), and his head (śiraḥ) with a face like the full moon (pūrṇendunibhānanaṃ), using three sharp arrows (kṣuraiḥ). Thereupon, he tormented the elephant (dvipaṃ) with hundreds of arrows.
