Having challenged the great-souled (mahātman) Yudhiṣṭhira, the experts in dice (akṣakovida) defeated the one inexperienced in dice (anakṣajña), acting according to their own will. Among such people (or in such a situation), how can there be a victory of natural law (dharma)?
