महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-174, verse-17

अम्बायास्तां कथां श्रुत्वा काशिराज्ञश्च भारत ।
स वेपमान उत्थाय मातुरस्याः पिता तदा ।
तां कन्यामङ्कमारोप्य पर्याश्वासयत प्रभो ॥१७॥
17. ambāyāstāṁ kathāṁ śrutvā kāśirājñaśca bhārata ,
sa vepamāna utthāya māturasyāḥ pitā tadā ,
tāṁ kanyāmaṅkamāropya paryāśvāsayata prabho.
17. ambāyāḥ tām kathām śrutvā kāśirājñaḥ
ca bhārata saḥ vepamānaḥ utthāya
mātuḥ asyāḥ pitā tadā tām kanyām
aṅkam āropya paryāśvāsayata prabho
17. bhārata prabho asyāḥ mātuḥ pitā
kāśirājñaḥ ca ambāyāḥ tām kathām śrutvā

17. O Bhārata, after hearing that story of Ambā concerning the king of Kāśi, her mother's father, trembling, then rose. O Lord, he placed his daughter on his lap and consoled her.
