महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-172, verse-7

कथमस्मद्विधो राजा परपूर्वां प्रवेशयेत् ।
नारीं विदितविज्ञानः परेषां धर्ममादिशन् ।
यथेष्टं गम्यतां भद्रे मा ते कालोऽत्यगादयम् ॥७॥
7. kathamasmadvidho rājā parapūrvāṁ praveśayet ,
nārīṁ viditavijñānaḥ pareṣāṁ dharmamādiśan ,
yatheṣṭaṁ gamyatāṁ bhadre mā te kālo'tyagādayam.
7. katham asmatvidhaḥ rājā parapūrvām
praveśayet | nārīm viditavijñānaḥ
pareṣām dharmam ādiśan | yatheṣṭam gamyatām
bhadre mā te kālaḥ atyagāt ayam

7. How can a king like me, who possesses discernment and instructs others on their duties (dharma), admit a woman who previously belonged to another? O respectable lady, go wherever you wish. Do not let this time of yours be wasted.
