महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-172, verse-18

एवं बहुविधैर्वाक्यैर्याच्यमानस्तयानघ ।
नाश्रद्दधच्छाल्वपतिः कन्याया भरतर्षभ ॥१८॥
18. evaṁ bahuvidhairvākyairyācyamānastayānagha ,
nāśraddadhacchālvapatiḥ kanyāyā bharatarṣabha.

na aśraddadhat śālvapatiḥ kanyāyāḥ bharatarṣabha
18. anagha bharatarṣabha,
evam tayā bahuvidhaiḥ vākyaiḥ yācyamānaḥ,
śālvapatiḥ kanyāyāḥ na aśraddadhat.
18. O sinless one (anagha), O best of Bharatas (bharatarṣabha), even though he was thus implored by her with many kinds of words, the lord of Śālva did not believe the maiden.
