महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-41, verse-13

भगवानुवाच ।
ददानि तेऽस्त्रं दयितमहं पाशुपतं महत् ।
समर्थो धारणे मोक्षे संहारे चापि पाण्डव ॥१३॥
13. bhagavānuvāca ,
dadāni te'straṁ dayitamahaṁ pāśupataṁ mahat ,
samartho dhāraṇe mokṣe saṁhāre cāpi pāṇḍava.
13. bhagavān uvāca dadāni te astram dayitam aham pāśupatam
mahat samarthaḥ dhāraṇe mokṣe saṃhāre ca api pāṇḍava
13. The Lord said: 'O son of Pāṇḍu, I shall give you my beloved, great Pāśupata weapon. You will be capable of wielding, discharging, and even withdrawing it.'
