महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-293, verse-16

तत्रोपसदनं चक्रे द्रोणस्येष्वस्त्रकर्मणि ।
सख्यं दुर्योधनेनैवमगच्छत्स च वीर्यवान् ॥१६॥
16. tatropasadanaṁ cakre droṇasyeṣvastrakarmaṇi ,
sakhyaṁ duryodhanenaivamagacchatsa ca vīryavān.
16. tatra upasadanam cakre droṇasya īṣvastrakarmaṇi
sakhyam duryodhanena evam agacchat saḥ ca vīryavān
16. There, he undertook discipleship with Droṇa in the art of archery and weaponcraft. And thus, the powerful one formed a friendship with Duryodhana.
