महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-289, verse-9

तस्यास्तु शीलवृत्तेन तुतोष द्विजसत्तमः ।
अवधानेन भूयोऽस्य परं यत्नमथाकरोत् ॥९॥
9. tasyāstu śīlavṛttena tutoṣa dvijasattamaḥ ,
avadhānena bhūyo'sya paraṁ yatnamathākarot.
9. tasyāḥ tu śīlavṛttena tutoṣa dvijasattamaḥ
avadhānena bhūyaḥ asya param yatnam atha akarot
9. However, the foremost among the twice-born (dvija) was pleased by her character and conduct. Subsequently, due to her attentiveness, he made a great effort for her, (bestowing a significant favor or instruction).
