महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-289, verse-23

स तु राजा द्विजं दृष्ट्वा तत्रैवान्तर्हितं तदा ।
बभूव विस्मयाविष्टः पृथां च समपूजयत् ॥२३॥
23. sa tu rājā dvijaṁ dṛṣṭvā tatraivāntarhitaṁ tadā ,
babhūva vismayāviṣṭaḥ pṛthāṁ ca samapūjayat.

23. When that king saw the brahmin vanish right there, he became filled with wonder and honored Pṛthā (Kuntī).
