महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-289, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
सा तु कन्या महाराज ब्राह्मणं संशितव्रतम् ।
तोषयामास शुद्धेन मनसा संशितव्रता ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
sā tu kanyā mahārāja brāhmaṇaṁ saṁśitavratam ,
toṣayāmāsa śuddhena manasā saṁśitavratā.

1. Vaiśaṃpāyana said: 'O great king, that maiden (Pṛthā), herself of firm resolve (saṃśitavratā), pleased the brahmin of strict vows (saṃśitavratam) with a pure mind.'
