महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-272, verse-20

अन्तर्हितं विदित्वा तं बहुमायं च राक्षसम् ।
रामस्तं देशमागम्य तत्सैन्यं पर्यरक्षत ॥२०॥
20. antarhitaṁ viditvā taṁ bahumāyaṁ ca rākṣasam ,
rāmastaṁ deśamāgamya tatsainyaṁ paryarakṣata.

rāmaḥ tam deśam āgamya tatsainyam pari arakṣata
20. Rāma, realizing that demon was invisible and wielded many illusions (māyā), went to that very spot and protected his army.
