महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-270, verse-10

तस्मिन्प्रवृत्ते संग्रामे घोरे रुधिरकर्दमे ।
धूम्राक्षः कपिसैन्यं तद्द्रावयामास पत्रिभिः ॥१०॥
10. tasminpravṛtte saṁgrāme ghore rudhirakardame ,
dhūmrākṣaḥ kapisainyaṁ taddrāvayāmāsa patribhiḥ.
10. tasmin pravṛtte saṃgrāme ghore rudhira-kardame
dhūmrākṣaḥ kapi-sainyaṃ tat drāvayāmāsa patribhiḥ
10. When that terrible battle (saṃgrāma) began, becoming a mire of blood (rudhirakardame), Dhumraksha (Dhūmrākṣaḥ) put that monkey army (kapisainyam) to flight with arrows.
