महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-239, verse-2

सम्यगुक्तं हि कर्णेन तच्छ्रुतं कौरव त्वया ।
मयाहृतां श्रियं स्फीतां मोहात्समपहाय किम् ।
त्वमबुद्ध्या नृपवर प्राणानुत्स्रष्टुमिच्छसि ॥२॥
2. samyaguktaṁ hi karṇena tacchrutaṁ kaurava tvayā ,
mayāhṛtāṁ śriyaṁ sphītāṁ mohātsamapahāya kim ,
tvamabuddhyā nṛpavara prāṇānutsraṣṭumicchasi.

kaurava tvayā mayā āhṛtām śriyam sphītām
mohāt samapahāya kim tvam abuddhyā
nṛpavara prāṇān utsraṣṭum icchasi
2. O Kuru, Karṇa's words were indeed well-spoken, and you heard them. Why, O best of kings, out of delusion and foolishness (abuddhyā), do you wish to abandon the vast prosperity (śrī) I acquired and give up your life?
