महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-193, verse-7

पुत्रसंक्रामितश्रीस्तु बृहदश्वो महीपतिः ।
जगाम तपसे धीमांस्तपोवनममित्रहा ॥७॥

7. Having transferred his regal glory (śrī) to his son, the wise king Brihadashva, who was a slayer of enemies, went to the forest of austerity (tapovana) for ascetic practices (tapas).
