Sarasvati said: "Indeed, that supreme, eternal (purāṇa) entity, renowned as the highest even among other exalted beings, is attained by the knowers of the Vedas. Those whose wealth is austerity (tapas), having become free from sorrow, are liberated through their commitment to self-study (svādhyāya), charity (dāna), vows, and meritorious spiritual practices (yoga)."
