The greatly effulgent Dhanaṃjaya (Arjuna), having duly established supreme purity (śauca), mounted his royal chariot, which possessed a pole lofty like a mountain, parts made of wood, auspicious bamboo decorations, and three bamboo staff-like ornaments, and thus he shone splendidly.
