महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-172, verse-10

अन्तर्भूमिगता ये च प्राणिनो जनमेजय ।
पीड्यमानाः समुत्थाय पाण्डवं पर्यवारयन् ॥१०॥
10. antarbhūmigatā ye ca prāṇino janamejaya ,
pīḍyamānāḥ samutthāya pāṇḍavaṁ paryavārayan.

pīḍyamānāḥ samutthāya pāṇḍavam paryavārayan
10. O Janamejaya, those living beings who were dwelling within the earth, being tormented, rose up and surrounded Arjuna.
