महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-118, verse-3

तत्रापि चाप्लुत्य महानुभावः संतर्पयामास पितॄन्सुरांश्च ।
द्विजातिमुख्येषु धनं विसृज्य गोदावरीं सागरगामगच्छत् ॥३॥
3. tatrāpi cāplutya mahānubhāvaḥ; saṁtarpayāmāsa pitṝnsurāṁśca ,
dvijātimukhyeṣu dhanaṁ visṛjya; godāvarīṁ sāgaragāmagacchat.

santarpayāmāsa pitṝn surān
ca dvijātimukhyeṣu dhanam
visṛjya godāvarīm sāgaragām agacchat
3. There also, having bathed, the great-souled one satisfied his ancestors and the gods. After distributing wealth among the chief Brahmins, he went to the Godavari, a river flowing into the sea.
