महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-107, verse-25

ततस्तेन समागम्य कालयोगेन केनचित् ।
अगृह्णाच्च वरं तस्माद्गङ्गाया धारणं नृप ।
स्वर्गवासं समुद्दिश्य पितॄणां स नरोत्तमः ॥२५॥
25. tatastena samāgamya kālayogena kenacit ,
agṛhṇācca varaṁ tasmādgaṅgāyā dhāraṇaṁ nṛpa ,
svargavāsaṁ samuddiśya pitṝṇāṁ sa narottamaḥ.
25. tataḥ tena samāgamya kālayogena
kenacit agṛhṇāt ca varam tasmāt
gaṅgāyāḥ dhāraṇam nṛpa svargavāsam
samuddiśya pitṝṇām sa narottamaḥ
25. O king, after some time had passed and he had met him, that best among men obtained a boon from him for the descent of Gaṅgā, intending to secure a dwelling in heaven for his ancestors.
