महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-102, verse-19

एवमुक्त्वा ततोऽगच्छत्समुद्रं सरितां पतिम् ।
ऋषिभिश्च तपःसिद्धैः सार्धं देवैश्च सुव्रतः ॥१९॥
19. evamuktvā tato'gacchatsamudraṁ saritāṁ patim ,
ṛṣibhiśca tapaḥsiddhaiḥ sārdhaṁ devaiśca suvrataḥ.
19. evam uktvā tatas agacchat samudram saritām patim
ṛṣibhiḥ ca tapassiddhaiḥ sārdham devaiḥ ca suvrataḥ
19. Having spoken thus, the sage, who was firm in his vows, then went to the ocean, the lord of rivers, accompanied by sages who had attained perfection through asceticism (tapas) and by the gods.
