महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-17, verse-13

मा तेऽन्यत्पुरुषव्याघ्र दानाद्भवतु दर्शनम् ।
अयशस्यमतोऽन्यत्स्यादधर्म्यं च महाभुज ॥१३॥
13. mā te'nyatpuruṣavyāghra dānādbhavatu darśanam ,
ayaśasyamato'nyatsyādadharmyaṁ ca mahābhuja.
13. mā te anyat puruṣavyāghra dānāt bhavatu darśanam
ayaśasyam ataḥ anyat syāt adharmyam ca mahābhuja
13. पुरुषव्याघ्र महाभुज ते दानात् अन्यत् दर्शनम्
मा भवतु अतः अन्यत् अयशस्यम् च अधर्म्यम् स्यात्
13. O tiger among men, let no purpose for you be other than giving (dāna). O mighty-armed one, anything else than this would be inglorious and unrighteous (adharma).
