महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-108, verse-8

भेदमूलो विनाशो हि गणानामुपलभ्यते ।
मन्त्रसंवरणं दुःखं बहूनामिति मे मतिः ॥८॥
8. bhedamūlo vināśo hi gaṇānāmupalabhyate ,
mantrasaṁvaraṇaṁ duḥkhaṁ bahūnāmiti me matiḥ.
8. bhedamūlaḥ vināśaḥ hi gaṇānām upalabhyate
mantrasamvaraṇam duḥkham bahūnām iti me matiḥ
8. hi gaṇānām vināśaḥ bhedamūlaḥ upalabhyate

8. Indeed, the destruction of assemblies (gaṇa) is found to be rooted in disunion. The concealment of counsel (mantra) is difficult for many — this is my understanding.
